Job brief
The Technical Presales Engineer provides technical support and expertise throughout the sales process to help drive sales of Activedge Technologies products and services. This role involves collaborating with the sales team to understand customer needs, presenting technical solutions, and ensuring successful implementation of products.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement:
- Engage with potential and existing customers to understand their technical requirements and business needs.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical workshops to showcase Activedge Technologies solutions.
Solution Design:
- Develop and propose customized technical solutions that address client requirements.
- Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to tailor solutions and address technical challenges.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide deep technical knowledge and support on Activedge Technologies products and services.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to offer relevant insights.
Sales Support:
- Assist the sales team in creating proposals, RFIs, and RFPs by providing technical input and documentation.
- Address and resolve technical questions or objections from customers during the sales cycle.
Proof of Concept (PoC):
- Lead or support PoC initiatives to demonstrate the feasibility and value of Activedge Technologies solutions.
- Analyze PoC results and present findings to stakeholders.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders at customer organizations.
- Ensure successful onboarding and support for customer’s post-sale.
Training and Development:
- Provide training and support to internal teams and customers on Activedge Technologies products and services.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and best practice guides.
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Professional certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, CISM, etc) is preferred.
Knowledge and Experience
- 3-4 Years of experience in a presales engineering or technical sales role or a similar role.
- Experienced in deep technical knowledge of F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto Technologies etc. with a proven ability to stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Experience in engaging with clients to uncover their technical requirements and business needs, resulting in tailored solution proposals and strengthened client relationships.
- Led and managed PoC projects, demonstrating the feasibility and benefits of proposed solutions to prospective clients.
- Familiarity with employee relations and conflict resolution.
